- After reading the CAI report, what do you are the THREE things that you can do, as an SST student, to help overcome these elderly challenges.
1. The four key recommendations of the report are to create elderly-friendly houses, make more places accessible to the disabled and elderly, provide more care for them, and create more opportunities for the elderly to live to their fullest potentials.
2. The CAI report is recommending to make our public housing more elderly-friendly by suggesting to provide different housing options specially for the elderly.
3. We can ensure that the cost of eldercare remains affordable by topping up Medisave Accounts when Government shares a budget surplus, and having family practitioner based holistic care for seniors.
4. I can help to overcome these elderly challenges by taking care of my grandparents, encourage them to stay active even in their old age, and through these activities, suggest new ideas on how to improve the environment such that it will become more elderly-friendly.
